This beautiful gurudwara, also known as Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Ji, is situated at an altitude of around 4,329 m, on the bank of the pristine Hemkund Lake. One of the most revered Sikh shrines, Hemkund Sahib (also known as Hemkunt Sahib) draws thousands of pilgrims every year.


Program

  • Day: 01 Haridwar – Joshimath (267 km/9 hr approx)

    Pick up from Haridwar, drive to Joshimath. Via Devprayag you can explore the three major confluences - Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag and then proceed towards Joshimath. On Reach check inn into hotel Dinner and overnight stay in Joshimath.

     

    Day: 02 Joshimath – Govindghat – Ghangari (21km/55 min) – (13kms trek)

    After breakfast depart to Govindghat. En-route visit Narsingh Temple, and Adi Shankaracharya Math at Joshimath, & drive to Govindghat via Pulna and Bhyundar village, it is the start point for the trek of 13kms to Ghangaria. On arrival check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

    Govindghat is a town in Chamoli District, Uttarakhand located at the confluence of the Alaknanda rivers. It lies around roughly 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Joshimath on NH58 at an altitude of 6,000 feet (1,800 metres). It is the roadhead on the way to Shree Badrinath yatra - One of the important places of worship of Hindus and the starting point for trekking to Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers Hundreds of people, mostly Hindu pilgrims to Shree Badrinath.

     

    Day: 03 Ghangaria – Hemkund Sahib– Ghangaria (6 km trek approx.)

    After breakfast, start your trek to Hemkund Sahib. Visit the famous Gurdwara, and explore Local market. Later trek back to Ghangaria. Dinner and overnight stay at Ghangaria.

    Hemkund Sahib formally known as Gurudwara is a sikh place of worship and pilgrimage site in Chamoli District, Uttarakhand It is devoted to Guru Gobind Singh (1666–1708), the tenth Sikh Guru, and finds mention in Dasam Granth. With its setting of a glacial lake surrounded by seven mountain peaks, each adorned by a Nisan sahib on its cliff, it is according to the Survey of India located in the Himalayas at an elevation of 4,160 meters (13,650 feet).

     

    Day: 4 Ghangaria - Josihmath (17 kms approx.)

    In morning after breakfast drive for Joshimath. On Arrival check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

     

    Day: 05 Joshimath –Haridwar (267 km/9 hr approx)

    After breakfast, depart by to Haridwar via Srinagar Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Rishikesh. En-route visit the Confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River which is called Devprayag. After drive drop Haridwar. Trip end with sweet memories
